Hungry, hungry Hippo

OMG.. these days I am so hungry. It not just, “I am bored/emotional and I’ll think I’ll eat something now”. Its “my god my stomach feels like it is going to eat itself”. I am trying to be good, ie eat that apple, but it doesn’t seem to help much, where as a nice tasty muffin is just so filling.

Can’t work out why… ok so training is up a couple of hours a week, but really??

I have the same problem eh, I feel like I am permanently hungry!!! And my training is really only ramping up from this week. I have saved myself from eating today, my lunch is on the bench at home, I am not at home…..
Best I buy something healthy and good for me for lunch!!

if it helps, i am struggling to! i think it may ahve something to do with the fact that CHCH had a whole 6 minutes of sun in the month of june!

I always find you have to be super organised for protein… and really I am not. Its a big deal I have a cut lunch! I could just start munching on a block of cheese :)

Are you serious? Have we had only 6 minutes for the entire month?
It’s a wonder we haven’t been eating a block of chocolate a day then!

But the sandwhich will go all soggy… maybe I’ll just munch on a pottle of it. :)

yeah i hate soggy sandwhichs as well, so i put all my sandwhich filling in a plastic container, then make the sandwhich at work.

That’s just what I do Zarnia. I’ve just sat down with my chicken, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Organised last night. Lettuce in a Glad snap lock bag, tomato cut up (useless knives at work) into a little Tupperware container and we’re all go.

I’m with all of you. It’s been hard work to ignore the feelings of hunger.

I’m getting a bit tired of eating dust, so I’m going to research the virtues of lentils. Truly. I’m going to put to the back of my mind, the images of Neil the Hippy in the Young Ones, and experiment with reheatable lunchy stuff I can make (particularly using the slow cooker – easy!). Full of protein and good for you. :-D

I keep meaning to make home made vegetable soup. I hate most of the veg, but in soup I quite like it. Must do something over the weekend. Sunday’s a rest day. Sounds like a good day to make soup.
