About My Training
Hmmm… not sure what to write in here. The sub pages have overview of the goals and the calendar I am currently planning for.
So how does my training plan work? Well My sister (Olivia from Optimize sports) has been my coach for well over 2 years now. For the first year she gave me a spoon feed monthly program. But then she said you should have learnt enough now go do your own, and she just overviews it, says when I go off track, and need to be doing more or less of this or that. The advantages of this is that it has given me a greater understanding of how my trainign works, and how I feel and can adjust to suit more proficently than if I had been spoon feed.
I also use specific coaches for each discipline to work on technique or just get professional advice on that discipline. At the moment using Rosie Shakespear for Kayak Instruction. And I go to a weekly running class on Tuesday, run by Karen Muller ( Fit for Life).
Nutrition is also a important part of my training, and is my weakest discipline by far. I see a Catherine at eat fit for nutrition advice. I don’t mention nutrition on this blog, because it such a big issue for me, and if I was it would just be one big whinge about my inability to achieve any decent amount of goal in the area.
